I am the bread/toast of life

2015-03-26 :: Beth did some delicious baking and Tessa (4) took some photos.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

John 6:51

What is the living Bible?
It is a tool to reacquaint us with our true nature and identity, here and now.
The Bible as a book is fixed; the point is not if “it” is right or wrong, but that we — you and me — embrace discernment, love and clarity.

Heaven
We have to be vigilant when working with the Bible, to not end up in the la la land of assumptions, hearsay and secondhand knowledge. Inner silence is the canvas for all experience.

Flesh
As persons we have this built-in tendency that being liked by others is more important to us than being authentic.

Not a descending dove.

I AM the bread of life
Reality, truth, love, beauty are eternal, but we can choose to outgrow the mental and emotional cocoon of our person. “The death of the caterpillar is the birth of the butterfly.”

Rush or hush?
We can rush through life and scripture; eagerly studying with our brain and finding temporary comforts; but we might miss to follow the subtle pointers. We are deeply habituated in the way we look out at life, how we identify ourselves.

Instead to hide in our bubble of shame and guilt, we can be brave and scientific. We live in a materialistic world culture, which we can transcend, here and now.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Matthew 28:20

What is with you always (not in fantasy but undeniably):
I AM — Awareness.
Not deluded as a separate person, but the Light of Consciousness, individualized as you and me.

It is okay to say “I don’t know”, instead to pretend and just wait until it is over.
The whole thing — life — can be quite amazing and beautiful.
