I AM… way, truth, life
I AM the way
John 14:6
I AM the truth
I AM the life
Who is making those I AM statements?
Do they belong to a body-mind Jesus, who may or may not have lived; or are those boundless words timeless pointers and pearls to guide our attention towards the discovery of your own true nature, beyond ego, suffering and decay?
Scripture can easily appear sticky, dark and confusing. There is a great tendency to read it and to overlook what it is actually pointing to.
For me the Bible is like training wheels for learning how to think, reflect, ponder, meditate, being still… it is far too easy to rush and to miss the subtle and unpretentious moment of presence, insight and experience.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me…”
John 14:6
Discerning between what our mind — this world — tells us about this moment, and being actually present with what IS — here and now — is not easy due to mental habits.
Looking a little deeper can stir up a lot of resentment and fear; somehow we feel too easily intimidated by thoughts and feelings.
